National Level Workshop

A Workshop on School Education was held on the 29th July 2006. The first half of the workshop focused on the Right to Education Bill and the model bill that was sent to the state governments by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, while the second half focused on identifying areas of intervention for the NKC.

Regional Level Workshops

Following the national level consultation, it was decided that given the variety in teaching - learning environments in the country, extensive regional consultations must be undertaken to evolve relevant recommendations on School Education.

In this context, we are in the process of conducting several regional workshops with representation from stakeholders across the spectrum in order to demarcate areas of intervention.

Three regional workshops in Bangalore, Lucknow and Kolkata have been held so far. Over the next few months, workshops will be held in Guwahati, Delhi and Jaipur.
